Christian Walker has been cast in the role of Judge Hawthorne in "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, at the Michigan Youth Theater. Performances will be at Buckham Alley in Flint on April 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th.

Brandon Koepsell, Trina Mannino and Maria Labellarte auditioned and were accepted for the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive program at the Detroit Opera House, which takes place in July. Brandon received a full scholarship. He recently performed as a dancer in the Lions Thanksgiving half-time show at the Silverdome. Branden was selected over twenty other male dancers for this exciting event.
Student Poem Selected for Publication
Student Rachel Mullins has had a poem, "Hold On," selected for an International Merit Award. It is scheduled for publication in "Poetry" in March.
Dancers Raise Finds for Cops for Kids
Students Amy VanBecelaere, Jennifer Scheurman, Megan Smallridge, Scott Schenburn, Amanda Poole and Amanda Pawlowicz helped Dancer's Workshop raise over $4,000 for Cops for kids, at a fundraising recital at Warren Woods Middle School on Dec 8th. Science Teacher Mr. Luedtke ran the lights for the show, and gave the students a backstage tour.
Music Teacher Mr. Boyd played three separate performances of Handel's Messiah during the Christmas season, one at Fort. St. Presbyterian Church in Detroit. He performed at Orchestra Hall in Detroit in December, and also played with the Assumption Grotto Orchestra.
"Once Upon A Mattress"
Student Claire Jakubiszyn will be appearing in the Farmington Player's production of "Once Upon A Mattress," May - June 2002. She recently performed as the Red Queen in "Alice in Wonderland" at the Baldwin Theatre, Nov 1-4, 2001.

Mr. Jacobi performs at Fox and Hounds
Art Teacher Rick Jacobi recently played guitar with Detroit's "Queen of the Blues," Albertaq Adams, at Fox and Hounds in Bloomfield Hills. Also at the gig was another Detroit legend - pianist Joe Hunter - who was the original piano player at Motown records.
Student Designed Poster
Student Mike Seger recently created a poster for the Berkley PTA promoting their upcoming Reflections Art Contest. The unique poster is hanging in all of the Berkley schools, as well as in local Berkley businesses.
Student Phillip Walter Smith appeared in "Carmen" at the Detroit Opera House during October.
Student Emily Lewandowski performed as Wendy in "Peter Pan" at the Port Huron Civic Theatre, Oct 19-21.
Student Bianca Ceuvas appeared in "Los Recuerdos" in the role of Alison at the Matrix Theatre Company, Nov 1-3.
Student Performing at Macomb Performing Arts Center
Jason Cooper sang with The Magic Company, a show choir appearing in the Magic Box at the Macomb Performing Arts Center in November.
